The boys had a big day battling evil. I think they gave up on defeating the powers of evil in our backyard because they suddenly switched gears and began building a ship. I was told that they were sailing to China and were simply waiting for the rain to flood the backyard and begin their epic journey. I was not invited on the ship. Noah's mom and I are going to be great friends in Heaven. He will start learning geography next year...

I Heart Mondays
Erik has Monday off and it is marvelous. Today we started off with homemade waffles and had a verifiable miracle occur. My waffles are never perfect, I have not figured out how to make a perfectly square waffle so the edges are always a little crazy. As I was about to partake in the last two bites from the edge of my gloriously imperfect waffle I noticed this.
Erik and Emily, fight it out or sell it on eBay. I think you can see the face of a saint in the syrup too.

The Attack of Extracurriculars
Erik went out of the country for 4 days and came home to find that I had the boys signed up in all sorts of classes. Therefore: WARNING, this post is probably only interesting to grandparents and maybe a stray aunt or two.

Aligning these pictures properly is totally not happening so let's all just act like they are perfect. The boys just think this is amazing gymnastics, probably good enough to be on YouTube. They are thinking about doing their own Parkour video...

Libby is completely bummed to be left out and I am tired of the other moms who do the math as I am taking pictures of multiple kids and shepharding two other kids in the nosebleed section who ask if I'm running a daycare out of my home. But we love our boys!

Randomness
I'm struggling to find the energy to blog with the newfound craziness of four children and homeschooling. We have had so much fun lately but at the end, although I have the time to blog there is just no will left. Maybe I'll get addicted again if I just push through the pain. It works with brownies...anyway, here is some homeschool goofiness (which starts with a G).
And here is Jake's first soccer game. I signed him up pretty late so his uniform wasn't ready and he was ticked off about it. It kinda looks like he may be the keeper but trust me, there is no keeper in Pee Wee Soccer. All players all playing the "mayhem" position. Out of control and totally hilarious.

Our new little bundle of joy must currently remain nameless and faceless on the internet but here are her cupcakes from her first birthday!
We love her a bunch and can't imagine life without her after only two months. Such a blessing...to most of us. One in particular is still brooding about losing her prime spot as the baby in the family. She spent some special time on a Daddy Date this week to try and remind her that all is not lost.

Then Jake turned 5 and we are contemplating putting bricks on his head to stop the growing. He will be having a Star Wars party complete with costumes and his first viewing of the movie this Sunday. It'll be something and we'll keep a paramedic on call to deal with light saber injuries.
This is just some good Reynolds' fun. You may not want to let your children see this because most households do not allow such activities for good reason.
