So this is how I made it up to them. I know...it's pitiful, but it is technically swimming.

Third Time is a Charm
We are so popular that we were invited to 2 pool parties last weekend but apparently "pool party" can sometimes really mean "a party by the pool." Shoulda known that before we told the kids two days in a row that we were going swimming and then had to deal with the aftermath of not getting to swim.
So this is how I made it up to them. I know...it's pitiful, but it is technically swimming.

I think you've got more kiddo than water.....=)
There's that belly I love so much! Yes, it's shrinking, but if stuck out juuuust right...
Looks like our front yard yesterday (minus the little girl). Only our "pool" was an inflatable infant bathtub--a wee bit smaller. The great thing, though, is that they got just as wet as they would have at a pool.
On a different note, are there fire ants in CA? I noticed the kids on grass without sandals (after being bitten and rescuing my kiddos from the savage ants, I have a strange fear of grass).
There are very few bugs in California, it is fantastic!
lol
well...at least they got wet.
