Danny the Red-Nosed Toddler

We took our family Christmas pictures not a day too soon because last night Dan was trying to walk on the curb at church and face planted. The tip of his nose took the majority of the road rash.
That coupled with the never-ending impetigo rash leaves him looking pretty rough. This is a beautiful shot, minus the rash, that our friend Hallie took when she did our family pictures.

We should just PhotoShop the rash out and this would be beautiful! Why is it that when you do family photos, each person's best is someone else's worst? It makes it really hard to decide which one to pick. Is it better to go with Danny's chin tucked it or being able to see the candy in his mouth (I'm not above bribery) or should we go with Libby's turtle face or Jake's cheeks sucked in because he too has candy in his mouth. What to do...

Erik looks like a Goober in that picture. I think it's the way his head is tilted. Didn't his mom ever tell him to sit up straight?

Wow, that was so insensitive! He's finally coping with his "issue" after years of therapy and you had to just tear him down in front of the 5 people that read my blog. That's harsh Stacey, harsh.

I was only "speeking the truth in love" missy, I don't want him going around looking like a goober in *every* family picture he takes for the rest of his life. I say these things not to tear down, but rather to build him up and make him a better person. ;p

I think the family picture turned out very well. :-) And I totally understand how hard it is to get one good picture with everyone looking their best. You should sit in on one of our Ferrill family photo shoots. It's good fun. It never fails that someone in the final picture is looking kind of goofy. But if here wasn't at least one person like that, where would the realness be?

It's great having our "kids" here again in the desert. It's even better to have the "grandkids" too. The ultimate is we all get to serve and awesome God at GC! God sure has been great this past year bringing us all together to serve at GC. This is Brad using Clayton's account!
